MED e-care e-Assessment is packaged with a wide range of focused assessments addressing clinical and activation needs with an easy-to-use, colourful user-interface.
MDS Chronic Care Reporting System (CCRS)
MED e-care specializes in healthcare software for professionals in continuing care settings. We are one of the largest providers of MDS software in this sector. Optimize your funding with the MDS CCRS system which calculates key indicators such as RUG-III, 35 Quality Indicators (QIs), 18 Resident Assessment Protocols (RAPs) and automatically updates the RAP tool for easier data entry and care planning.
MED e-care also generates quarterly reports comparing each resident's MDS data to all residents in an organization's database. Facilities can also choose sister sites to perform comparison reporting for more meaningful analysis at an enterprise level.
Integration of e-Assessments with other MED e-care software solutions is a solid and popular choice. Incorporating e-Plan for all resident care planning allows for seamless documentation of progress and incident notes. Data entered into one program automatically populates other modules, speeding up the documentation process and streamlining work flows.
MED e-care MDS allows facilities to preview potential funding levels with RUG-III classification, the funding model used in complex continuing care and based on the MDS assessment. Plus, make use of online resources, conveniently located within the MED e-care system, such as the criteria for triggering RUGs and the history of RUGs and ADL scores. Additionally, RWPD (RUG Weighted Patient Days) reports are available.
Significantly reduce submission errors to CIHI with built-in data validation features and error checks. Validation checks at the field, assessment, unit, program and facility levels ensure that data is verified as thoroughly as possible, avoiding the cumbersome re-submission process.
Ontario Mental Health Reporting or MDS-MH (OMHRS)
RAI-MH is MED e-care's newly enhanced software module that allows hospitals to submit mandated data to CIHI (Canadian Institute for Health Information). Our company has a team of psychiatric nurses who have helped build the interface and the nursing reports. This software module implements the RAI-MH that has been developed by interRAI, a collaborative network of researchers from over 20 countries committed to improving healthcare for persons who are elderly, frail, or disabled.
A need has been identified to compensate the lack of technological involvement in the Mental Health environment. Our RAI-MH based module is a web-based clinical assessment and data collection system that allows hospitals to collect individual patient information, incorporate this data into their care planning activities and help to identify key clinical issues related to patient care. MED e-care RAI-MH software calculates and reports on nationally accepted socio-demographic and health characteristics, accessibility, resource utilization, efficiency, and outcomes/effectiveness indicators.
The MDS-MH tool offers key features that will improve the data collection process considerably:
- User friendly:The software is designed to incorporate extensive feedback from the clinical and nursing staff who participated in the development process; the system is easy to navigate and understand.
- Well priced:The software is cost-efficient and offers competitive payment options; MED e-care offers thorough and timely technical support for all of our clients.
MED e-care's RAI-MH product can interface easily with other applications, including patient management systems such as Meditech, McKesson and MediSolutions. The software is fully integrated with MED e-care's software suite including e-Plan, e-ADT and e-Financials. Backed by one of the best technical and clinical support services in the business, MED e-care's RAI-MH offering remains unsurpassed in value and quality.
National Rehabilitation Reporting (NRS)

MED e-care NRS offers key features that will advance and simplify the data access and collection processes:
- Multiple reporting and real-time data views at the hospital, program, unit and individual level.
- Patient Kardex that summarizes the entire assessment on a single page.
- Patient goal setting and action plans that are easily generated and managed.

Integrated Assessment Record (IAR)
What is IAR?
The Integrated Assessment Record (IAR) is an application that allows authorized staff to view a consenting resident's assessment information to effectively plan and deliver services to that resident. The IAR allows assessment information to move with a resident from one health service provider (HSP) to another. HSPs can use the IAR to collaborate with other care providers and to view timely and accurate assessment information electronically, and securely.
IAR is designed to:
- Promote a resident-centric approach to care within the community care sectors.
- Identify all HSPs providing services to a resident.
- Provide access to the most recent assessment with the resident's consent.
- Identify service overlaps and gaps to improve the quality and reliability of care.
- Ensure secure transfer of personal health information (PHI).
- Safeguard accountability in assessment-sharing support networks and learning venues across HSPs.
- Enable quicker care planning, easier collaboration (between residents and workers and among HSPs).
- Workload reduction for HSPs Increase the reliability of information.
