As a new RAI coordinator in Phase 8 of the “Project”, I would like to express my gratitude to the incredible team at “Med e-care”. The educational opportunities offered to myself and other members of our team here at Trent Valley Lodge have been outstanding. I feel your staff have been at the top of their game in all aspects of this transition into the RAI – MDS 2.0. Each and every time I have phoned looking for ‘tech’ support or advice or I’ve been in a (small) panic, your staff have gone the extra mile to reassure, educate and assist in every way possible in the implementation of the RAI – MDS.

I would like to particularly mention Vickie, who through patience, understanding and knowledge has guided me and taught me each step and continues to encourage me along the way. I enjoy working in MED e-care as the screens are bright and colorful.  The fonts are great in size which makes it easy to focus. From the first day I was trained I realized immediately that I would like this program… It is a forgiving program and errors can be modified with ease. Once the basic training is completed one has no problem following the screens to complete each task. The support staff is always there to assist and are extremely friendly.

As I reflect on our decision to implement the Mede- Care iMAR system a year ago, I cannot but feel, privileged to have partnered with your company. Your personal commitment and your staff’s dedication to further idocumentation in health care, is most refreshing in these days of close competitions in health care technology.

Your iMAR module is very user friendly and it enabled our most skeptical, computer illiterate and casual nurses to master its navigation system in a very short period of time, with minimal training and support.
The iMAR Communication system between our pharmacy and nurses has much improved in enhancing safety, reducing inefficiency and increasing compliance to standards in the medication administration process.
iMAR customized reports have contributed greatly to our Continuous Quality Improvement program, in providing – in part - proactive initiatives for identifying users’ bad habits, poor compliance in adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Our medication pass turn around time has decreased by 60% and our medication reviews indicate timely and accurate transcription of medical orders.  

Our achievements have been facilitated through Med e Care being flexible in its approach to care delivery, sensitive to our concerns, willingness to adopt practical changes and committed to a win – win situation in  problem solving issues .

Your dedication to contribute to quality care, enhance safety and efficiency through electronic documentation is most commendable and I would recommend your company and your iMAR system to any potential users.

My colleagues and myself were very fortunate to be a part of the CCRS Credentialing RAI~C program offered by MED e~care, with Dr. Paul Beaulne. Our Homes do not use MED e~care, however the information we were able to glean from the course has certainly aided our understanding of MDS and our requirements for funding. We would recommend this course to anyone whether they are with MED e~care or with another software company

When I registered for the MDS credentialing course in the spring of 2009. I had basic knowledge on coding, RAP’s & QI’s, through readings and self testing on line.  Paul has taught me accuracy in coding, while maximizing the highest potential funding available.  Now that I know what  the key elements are, I am able to utilize that knowledge, and as a result our CMI has been increasing every quarter since implementation.   On a final note, as a RAI coordinator, I believe the credentialing course is  crucial for a successful home.

My name is Ray Nichols and I attended your Canadian MDS Credentialing course February 17, 18 and 19th of 2010.  Upon completion of your course, I brought a lot of very relevant information back to my home.  I found the sections on RUG’s and the funding model to be the most valuable.  I came back to my home with a very good understanding of how the new RUG’s III model works and more importantly, how to capitalize on key areas of the MDS to help maximize our funding.  Dr. Beaulne was an excellent educator.  He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and very witty.  He kept everyone’s attention and enthusiasm throughout the entire course.   I would just like to thank you for the additional knowledge and confidence your course has given me.

iBPM
We have been using Med e-care's iBPM software for years, tracking and charting our performance indicators and using the reports to compare different groups of locations.  Med e-care's Business Performance Management (BPM) software is easy to use for all staff, has been tailored to our Company's specific needs, and easily generates graphs, charts, etc. with just a "click" of the mouse.  I would recommend anyone looking for a tool to track and communicate metrics or indicators for their Home or Company, consider Med e-care's BPM  program.
